More about MauiRadio.net

Understand How 'n Why Hawaiʻi Stay Living ʻAloha via practice and precepts of ʻaloha, ʻohana (family), mālama (care for), kuleana (responsibility), kokua (aid, assist), hoʻomanawanui (patience), hoʻomau (perseverance), lōkahi (harmony), hoʻonani (beauty), et al. Yes, aye!

Living in the Hawaiʻian Islands is not the same as living on a continent. Consider Maui's extraordinary topology and variety of climates and understand sustainability from an ahupuaʻa, mauka to makai (mountain to ocean), indigenous Hawaiʻian point of view.

ʻIke - Thrive: Consistent with Kanaka tradition respecting mālama ʻāina (care for the land), mālama pono (care for righteousness), and lōkahi (harmony), mutual self-reliance, and overall quality of life, Hawaiʻi ought to honor Hawaiʻian wisdom, grow more of its food, generate more of its energy, and better manage its local economy, natural resources, and the waste it generates, instead of perpetuating a vulnerable and dangerous dependence on distant imports. Imua! Hipahipa!
